Young Leader November Training Weekend

September 19, 2011 at 9:26 PM

Two weekends for all Young Leaders (including those doing service for Duke of Edinburgh & Guides) are planned for the forthcoming year. Both will be held in the chalet at Bonaly on the weekends of 25-27th November 2011 and 23-25th March 2012. An outline programme for the November weekend is set out below. The remaining modules will be covered on the March weekend.

Friday

Arrive 7:30pm

Module A - Prepare for take off! - note that any 14-18 year old who helps with a Section who has not completed this module within 3 months is not insured!

Saturday

Module B – Take the Lead!

Module C – That's the Way to Do it!

Module D – Kids behaving badly

Module G - Programme Plans

Sunday

Module H- Programme Plans Plus

Finish 1:30pm

The weekend will be fully catered and will cost £38 per person. It is expected that groups/Districts will bear the cost. **SPECIAL OFFER – book both weekends now for £65 **

If a Young Leader cannot do either of those options, but can attend part of the weekend then we can accommodate that at a reduced cost. The aim is to be flexible and maximise opportunities!

Both of the weekends last year were sold out and we expect demand to be strong again this year so book early. Note that bookings will only be accepted with a completed application form and payment.

To book please fill in the attached form and return to South East Region Scout Council, 15 Valleyfield St, Edinburgh EH3 9LP by Friday 11th November with a cheque for £38/£65 per attendee payable to The Scout Association. In the event of further questions call Brian Moretta on 0131 447 3795 or email brianmoretta@mac.com.
