Communications Update

February 10, 2011 at 6:41 PM

Over the past few months the Communications Team have been busy developing new methods of communication for the Region. The key focus is to make sure that all of the members are kept up to date with what is happening within the Region, and that we are promoting the great Scouting that is going on across the Region to the ‘outside world’.

The key updates are as follows:

New leader’s notice board created on the Regional website. This is for information that is relevant to leaders only. The main news articles are to promote what Groups and Districts have been up to. That means that we need YOUR stories. Send them into communications@southeastscotlandscouts.org.uk at any time. If you can include an image as well that would be great.

New banners have been created for the website, with key messages that we are trying to promote. These will change as the messages change and will link the person to that section of the site when clicked upon.

Facebook and Twitter have been set up for the Region. Key updates or reminders will be sent out through these methods to all leaders who sign up for them. The Facebook account is south east scotland scouts and the twitter is sesscouts.

Over the next few months there will be other changes to support the members within the Region. If you have any suggestions then please contact Neil Burn, ARC Communications on communications@southeastscotlandscouts.org.uk or via Regional Headquarters.
