Eleven of the Haddington Friday Troop took part in Island Adventure on Arran at the beginning of May along with 440 other scouts and 150 leaders from many parts of Scotland.  The long weekend involved them travelling by car, three trains, a ferry and a bus before a long walk to their campsite. They took part in many different activities and proved themselves adept at lightweight camping and cooking.

Gifford Cubs recently succeeded in their target of raising money to help towards a new playpark in the village - well done to all the Cubs, leaders and helpers who did much car washing and outdoor jobs on a wet Sunday in May.

Tranent Scouts as part of their Global Challenge took the train to North Berwick with their bikes and cycled home via the John Muir Way and raised a fantastic £ 680 for Help for Heroes
