Gang Show 2010

337_EventImage2.jpgIt has been a very busy year for the Edinburgh Gang Show!

There has been... a performance at the RHS Showground for Thinking Day in front of 4,000 Guides, a critically acclaimed co-production of Billy Elliot The Musical that over 3 performances at the Festival Theatre was seen by some 5,000 people; a superb performance on the main stage at The Royal Highland Show in front of thousands; entertainment for the Girlguiding exhibition on the Fringe; a performance in Holyrood Park, as part of the Festival Cavalcade, culminating in an appearance of some of the cast and a live interview with the Director Andy Johnston on BBC News 24!
Phew!

But now, it's back to normal as The Gang have just begun rehearsals for Edinburgh Gang Show 2010!  This year, no joke, has the biggest cast ever, as we are joined by an additional 120 members of Girlguiding as they celebrate their centenary.  Add all that together with the Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Guides, Young Leaders and it means that the cast this years exceeds 300.  What a fantastic opportunity for all these young people in Scouting and Girlguiding to tread the boards of the King's Theatre.

The show programme has taken on even more modern music, comedy and fun!  Gang Show in Edinburgh has been around now for 50 years - but you 'ain't seen a show like this one folks'!
