The Regional Chairman, John Kennedy on the award of the Silver Wolf .

This, the highest award in Scouting was presented to john by Eleanor Lyall, the Chief Commissioner for Scotland at the Scouts own service at the Blair Atholl Patrol Jamborette.

John has been the Camp Chief at Blair Atholl for the past seven camps and before that served as a sub camp leader for seven camps and has been a member of staff since 1976. In addition to his current role as Regional Chairman and his service as a member of the Scottish Scout Board and Executive, John has had previous service as Area Commissioner for Edinburgh from 2005 – 2008 and District Commissioner for Leith from 2000 until 2005. He has also been SHQ Commissioner for the scout section and Area and Scottish international adviser as well as member of the Edinburgh Business committee from the 1980s.

John has given tremendous service to Scouting at all levels and in all aspects and this ward is richly deserved and all in the region will be delighted to hear of the presentation.
