It is with pleasure that we can report an increase yet again in the South East Region in terms of numbers engaged in Scouting. The figures are not fully complete but the growth in Pentland, Borders, Morningside, East Lothian and Portobello while varying between over 100 and under 10 offset the reductions in other Districts and it should be noted that some districts have still to complete their census figures.

Overall it is looking like there will be a rise in young people and a possible fall in the number of sectional assistants but that leader numbers may be on the increase.
